A Bible app you can ask questions
A Bible app that answers your questions about the passage.
Most questions come up in the middle of a chapter. Berean lets you ask right there, out loud, and answers in a few seconds with the verses it used. Then the reading picks up where it stopped.

How asking works
Open any chapter and press play. When a verse stops you, hold the mic and ask. Berean answers aloud, and the answer appears on the page with the references it rests on.
In hands-free mode Berean listens for your voice, so you can ask while you walk or drive. When you are done, the narration continues from the same word.
The kind of questions it handles
Ask who a person is, where a place was, or what a word meant in its own time. Ask why a line matters, or how it connects to another passage. Each answer is about the verse you are reading, so it sends you back to the text.
Berean is a study companion, not a pastor. It does not write sermons or tell you what to believe. It explains the passage and shows you where to look.
Other ways to ask questions about the Bible
Logos Bible has a Study Assistant that answers from the books in your Logos library, which suits deep study and sermon preparation. Some apps offer a separate AI chat that runs on credits. Berean is different because the question and the answer happen inside the reading itself.
Common questions
Is there a Bible app that answers questions?
Yes. Berean is an iPhone Bible app that answers questions about the passage you are reading. Ask out loud or type, and the answer names the verses it used.
Can I ask a question without typing?
Yes. Hold the mic button and speak, or turn on hands-free mode and talk. Berean answers aloud.
Is asking questions free?
Explaining a verse is free. Asking your own questions is part of Berean Pro, which starts with a free trial.
Does the AI replace reading the Bible?
No. Every answer is about the passage you have open and points you to the verses behind it.
