A voice for each person who speaks
Berean has more than a hundred designed character voices. God has one voice, and Jesus keeps the same voice across the four Gospels and Acts. A character who appears in more than one book keeps one voice, so you know who is speaking before the narrator tells you.
All 1,189 chapters are recorded this way. The text on screen highlights each word as it is spoken, so you can follow along when the speaker changes.
Prefer one voice?
To hear one narrator for every chapter, open Settings, then choose One narrator under Voices. You can switch back to the full cast at any time.
Stop and ask
A dramatized reading brings up questions. Who is this king? Why does she answer like that? Tap the sparkle and ask out loud. Berean answers aloud, names the verses it used, and continues reading from the same word.
